Frequently Asked Questions
For Patients
-
I am a therapist, and the bulk of my practice is providing therapy. I have been trained in many types of therapy, from play therapy and narrative therapy to psychodynamic psychotherapy and couples therapy. I work with a wide range of patients, providing medication management to some of my patients, when appropriate.
-
I offer psychotherapy (with or without medication management) to treat depression, anxiety, relationship issues, couples' challenges, stressful life transitions, professional and personal challenges, grief, and loss. More broadly, I strive to help people better understand themselves and what is going on in their lives.
-
I am able to offer medication management, if needed, for my patients, but I do not offer stand-alone medication management.

I see patients from my office near the West Portal neighborhood in San Francisco, California. I also practice virtually via phone and video call for patients throughout California, Florida, and New York.
-
I do not accept insurance, Medicare, or Medi-Cal, nor am I a member of any managed care provider panels. However, I provide invoices that individuals and families can submit to their insurance carriers for "out- of- network" reimbursement if that is an option for them.
-
If I’m not the right fit, I will provide you with names of other providers who might be able to offer you the help you need.
For Media Clients
-
Yes, I offer consultations for creatives working on films, streaming series, books, video games, and other forms of media. Through this collaborative process, I will help you to develop your characters, understand their mental health, and write their arcs in a way that is informed, medically accurate, and free of stigmatizing tropes.
